Matt Fewster began his career in metal fabrication, later expanding into beverage manufacturing, where he gained expertise in direct-to-consumer sales, international trade, and market development.
Already active in global honey exports, his work took him to Saudi Arabia, where he identified key gaps in Western Australia’s honey industry, a lack of education, marketing support, and tailored product innovation. Observing the global dominance of Manuka honey, he recognised the untapped potential of Western Australia’s bioactive honeys when paired with education and efficient supply chains.
Drawing on years of experience in exports and international sales, Matt founded Honey X, a business built to close these gaps through scalable, science-backed, and trade-focused solutions.
Today, Honey X simplifies the buyer experience by providing a user-friendly platform for learning, ordering, and international procurement. This ensures businesses of all sizes can access harvest updates, certifications, and market-ready sales materials in one place. In 1916, John Fewster began beekeeping with his brother Robert on the family farm in Muchea, laying the foundation for a multi-generational legacy in Western Australian honey.
